A three-day developmental learning programme designed to advance the leadership skills of supervisors, as well as operational and team leaders.
Course content includes a DVD and PowerPoint instruction, along with several practical exercises and role-plays. All participants also receive a handy Ready Reference Booklet, summarising the main programme content:

What is expected of a leader: examined through self-reflection and covers a structured approach to problem-solving and group discussion techniques.
Understanding the concept of leadership: looking at the different types of leadership, professional influence and the difference between leadership and management.
Identifying the characteristics, behaviours and roles of leadership: examining the traits and goal-setting habits of good leaders, particularly self-confident and self-aware leaders.
Recognising your leadership style: Identifying whether you lean towards a situational, emotional intelligence or Ubuntu approach; and developing a related self-improvement strategy.
Understanding teams and team leadership: The difference between teams and groups, team types and the importance of teams for achieving workplace goals.
The role of team leader in improving team effectiveness: Techniques to constructively manage the team dynamic, reducing conflict while promoting trust and productivity.
